Tournaments, Sore Legs and Trophies

I got the trophy I wanted. i placed champion mixed doubles level C with my Mom and 2nd runner- up men's doubles level C with my Dad. Kaleb was runner up in men's doubles level E. Lots of good players. In championship game mixed i played against one of my friends who i train with every week. score was 21-19, 23-21. The score for men's doubles level C semi finals game was 19-21, 21-18, 10-11. Kaleb's score for championship game was. 17-21, 21-15, 18-21.
after the tournament they gave away shoes. they were really nice. several of my friends got shoes.Here are some pictures of the tournament.

I Learn To Fear Rubber Bands

Today I learned to fear rubber bands. The one responsible for teaching me to fear them is Kaleb. Despite a great fear for rubber bands I still ended up the winner in today's war. It was hard, brutally hard but I kept on. In the end my perseverance paid off. sort of.

Ok now on to being serious if that's possible for me.


Garden
My garden is doing good. i planted black beans and they are growing. (i did not plant them on purpose but they are growing good anyway)


Badminton
My training today got canceled because there weren't any courts.

Burns and School and Things

This morning my Dad burned his leg really bad on his motorcycle. His leg got caught on the exhaust pipe when he fell. It is a second degree burn about 2inches wide by 4 or 5 inches long.
next week is my week off from school. Yippee!!!! I am going to work more in my garden. I think I am going to plant more tomatoes and maybe some cucumbers. I finished the story I have been writing.

Weather
The weather is sunny for the first time in a million years (at least it feels that long, but since the world has not existed that long I guess I'm exaggerating a little. )

Garden
Not much has happened with my garden besides that my tomatoes look like they are mad. at least they are not very happy. every thing else is growing good. I picked some of my ginger yesterday.

Badminton
The tournament is next week Saturday. and there is another tournament on Oct 11.

The river was fun. It rained most of the time we were there. i did not make any fish hooks or spears. i did not even go fishing.
there are some guys here to look at our washing machine. Dad and i took it all apart but did not find any thing wrong with it. I kind of think they will not have any better success then we did. but we'll see.

Garden
this morning i planted celery and onion chive roots. i found a stock of ripe bananas. lots of them were eaten by bats already but i got half of them. i have 4 or 5 more stocks coming. 2 of them are almost ripe. i picked a stock a week ago also. we have not even finished that stock. i picked some of my cherry tomatoes this morning.

Badminton
i have training today. Kaleb would also except he injured his leg. We have to turn in our papers for the tournament today. Kaleb is playing mens doubles level D. i will play mixed doubles level C with my Mom and mens doubles level C with my Dad.

Rain...... and Maybe More

Yesterday morning I had great hopes of a sunny day. Yesterday afternoon our yard was flooded. we had a foot of water every where. Not as bad as some times but bad enough i wrote about it.
It was brown out all afternoon. We have had brown outs almost every day for 16 weeks. I am glad we took a trip in the middle. Tomorrow we are going to a river to swim and maybe do some fishing. I am going to try a new way of making fish hooks this afternoon if i have time. well not really a new way, a different way, and maybe a better way. I also want to make a fish spear if i have time.

Garden
Most of my small tomato and cucumber plants died from the rain yesterday. a couple of the big ones look almost dead but i think most of them will survive.

Badminton
Kaleb and i have training today. More foot work and running......more tiredness.... more pain..... but hey maybe i can win the tournament! that's a much happier thought.No, actually i like training. It's hard but the rewards are big(if you train hard). it just takes a long time to get them. I think our family will also play this evening after training. I hope.

I had a good weekend. Saturday night we went and played badminton. we Had fun. ( i at least had fun, and i think everybody else did). My garden is doing OK. my tomatoes don't like the rain that has been visiting us for the past week. they look kind of sad, droopy, and muddy. if they could talk they would not be very nice to listen to. the tomatoes and cucumbers i planted seem to be growing good. This morning Dad and i went out to the farm and got milk, the only real milk on the island. Kaleb is drawing some really cool pictures of Legolas and Frodo. i think i better go start school before it gets too late.

snakes and things

I just shot a snake out of a tree, unfortunately there were 2 snakes. I'm still looking for the other one. I have a lot of experience chasing snakes. i chased my first snake when i was 6. kind of a stupid thing to do. i have learned since then that you don't call all your friends and circle the unfortunate snake. you might become the unfortunate one. so if you come upon a snake please take my advice and don't chase it, circle it or do any other stupid things like I do.I tried to learn... but you can see by what i did today I did not learn very well. oh well. It was exiting. not that I don't have exiting things happen to me every day, i have plenty, but that does not take away from the fact that it was exiting.

Garden
my garden is doing well as usual. this morning i planted cucumbers, dill and tomatoes. the parsley i planted a couple days ago is just coming up.

Life
Dad and Mom are in meetings. they love meetings.(when they don't exist). Kaleb is supposed to to be doing school just as i am. Maybe i can count this as school......

Badminton
i am supposed to have training this afternoon. i still don't know what time training might be, I'll find that out 2 minutes before i go. there is a tournament at the end of this month. I'm training hard. hopefully i can bring home a trophy unlike i did last tournament.
